About the role
Amana Living is seeking an experienced Manager Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting to lead our organisation‑wide budgeting and forecasting processes and deliver high‑quality financial insights that support strategic decision‑making.
This is a key leadership role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on partnering with diverse stakeholders, building robust financial models, and translating data into meaningful performance insights. You will work closely with leaders across all services to support sustainable growth. This role will report to the chief financial officer.
This is a Full-time fixed term role ending in June 2027 with a potential to become permanent role.
What you’ll be responsible for
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop the Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting team to be highly engaged and high performing
- Own and lead the organisation’s budgeting and forecasting processes
- Partner with operational leaders to model key revenue and cost drivers
- Provide training and support to operational staff in the use of budgeting tools and templates
- Administer and continuously improve the budgeting system
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration
Reporting & Financial Performance
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly management reporting
- Analyse and explain variances (actual vs budget/forecast), identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Partner with cost centre managers to improve financial performance and accountability
- Support month‑end and year‑end financial reporting processes
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory Quarterly Financial Reports (QFR)
- Oversee financial reporting for Amana Living’s housing portfolio, including engagement with resident committees
Financial Modelling, Analysis & Forecasting
- Lead the development of complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases (including NPV analysis)
- Provide pricing and break‑even analysis to support commercial decision‑making
- Deliver financial analysis for executive and Board forums, including Leadership Team Think Tank and Board Strategy Workshops
- Develop and maintain data models for performance analysis, benchmarking, trend analysis, and project evaluation
- Prepare and maintain long‑term and short‑term cash flow forecasts
About you
You are a confident finance leader with strong commercial acumen and a collaborative working style. You enjoy partnering with the business, influencing outcomes, and delivering insights that drive meaningful impact.
You will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor’s degree)
- Significant experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting or financial analysis in a commercial environment
- CA or CPA qualification (or Australian‑recognised equivalent)
- Experience using accounting ERPs and budgeting tools
- Strong Excel‑based financial modelling capabilities
- Aged care industry experience (highly regarded but not essential)
Essential requirements
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months) or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Proof of current influenza vaccination in line with Amana Living policies
- Successful completion of pre‑employment health questionnaire and reference checks
