The Role
Performs all cleaning duties and interacts with management, staff, residents and their families, visiting health professionals and any other person in the work environment in accordance with Amana Living core values. This role is being offered on a casual basis, through residential care sites.
This is a casual position, and your shifts will be scheduled within the hours outlined below. Travelling between sites is essential.
Week One & Two:
Monday 0800-1600
Tuesday 0800-1600
Wednesday 0800-1600
Thursday 0800-1600
Friday 0800-1600
About you
The Hospitality Services – Cleaner is responsible for carrying out cleaning tasks and engaging with management, staff, residents and their families, visiting healthcare professionals, and others in the workplace, following established standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with management, staff, residents and their families and visiting health professionals
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the resident rooms
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of communal areas
- Maintain and manage stock in cleaning cupboards
- Basic Knowledge of microfibre products and cleaning techniques
- Knowledge of floor scrubbers, extractors, upholstery cleaning machines etc
- Ensure meeting rooms are set accordingly
- Undertake any other duties and projects as required
- Ability to follow directions, schedules
Essential Criteria:
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.
- Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Evidence of Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- NDIS Clearance certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
- Valid Driver's licence
