The Role

As a Service Manager you will be responsible for the effective management of residential care facilities across the St Georges Care Facility. The role is responsible for leading and managing staff and ensuring the delivery of quality clinical and allied health care to our residents, whilst managing daily operations. The successful candidate will have previous experience managing an aged care facility and will ideally have had experience in a senior clinical role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical teams, ensuring the care provided to residents meets and exceeds the organisation’s clinical care standards
  • Monitor, manage and report clinical KPIs, ensuring proactive and timely action is taken to identify and mitigate risks
  • Monitor and manage financial KPIs ensuring targets are achieved and action is taken to identify and mitigate risks
  • Ensure audits are undertaken in accordance with planned schedules and all operations comply with organisational policy and procedures which meet statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the preparation of the facility’s operating budget and manages operations effectively to remain within budgets
  • Coordinate and lead regular resident and relative meetings
  • Provide regular updates and monitoring of the facility’s plan for continuous improvement
  • Ensure staffing rosters adequately support the site, communicating and working with HR in the recruitment, onboarding and retention of a valued and skilled workforce
  • Conduct regular staff performance reviews, address performance gaps and initiate improvement plans in collaboration with HR
  • Provide after hours/on call support, escalating incidents where appropriate to the Operations Manager/General Manager of Residential Care

 

About you

The successful candidate must be will be working at our St Georges Care Centre in Bayswater, and will possess:

Extensive facility management experience in an Aged Care environment

Previous experience in overseeing funding assessments and submissions and submissions

Sound knowledge and previous experience working with people living with dementia

Proven leadership and people management skills

Excellent change management skills with a proven record of leading and implementing significant strategic and operational change

Demonstrated ability to manage finances and operate within budgetary requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to undergo a Bankruptcy check
  • Valid WA drivers licence
  • Nursing registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurse)
