About the Role
We’re seeking a flexible, experienced, and proactive Relief Village Manager to ensure continuity of leadership and care across our retirement villages. You will step into the role of Village Manager or Sales Manager in their absence, ensuring operations run smoothly, residents feel supported, and villages remain compliant, welcoming, and engaging.
As the first point of contact for residents and staff during relief periods, you’ll provide trusted leadership, uphold high service standards, and contribute to the well-being and vibrancy of our communities.
Key Responsibilities
Village Operations & Compliance
- Undertake detailed operational handovers at each site
- Manage daily operations, staff supervision, and unit transitions
- Coordinate village maintenance and liaise with service teams
- Promote and refer in-home care services where needed
- Uphold all regulatory, policy, and reporting obligations
Resident Engagement & Relationship Management
- Foster strong, respectful relationships with residents and committees
- Address concerns with empathy and fairness
- Facilitate social programs, monthly meetings, and lifestyle events
- Support resident wellbeing through proactive check-ins and referrals
Sales & Occupancy Support
- Step in for the Sales Manager when required
- Conduct tours and consultations for prospective residents and families
- Support onboarding of new residents and ensure smooth transitions
- Collaborate with Marketing to maintain occupancy targets
Community & Lifestyle Leadership
- Develop inter-village partnerships and community engagement strategies
- Coordinate a calendar of events to build connection and inclusion
- Gather resident feedback and implement lifestyle improvements
Financial Oversight
- Assist with budgeting, capital works planning, and financial reporting
- Monitor village costs, billing processes, and audit readiness
- Contribute to strategic cost-efficiency initiatives
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Identify and lead service improvements through feedback analysis
- Support infrastructure upgrades and strategic projects
- Implement positive change management across village sites
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience
- Prior leadership experience in Retirement Living, Community Housing, or Aged Care
- Strong customer service ethos and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated capacity to juggle complex, competing priorities
- Experience with budgeting, audits, and compliance reporting
- Excellent communication, planning, and team management ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems

- A confident facilitator with empathy, patience, and integrity
Essential Requirements
- Current Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (issued within 6 months) or valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Proof of current COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccinations
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical & reference check
