The Role
This position requires proficient time management skills to execute cleaning tasks effectively. Responsibilities include vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and mopping designated areas according to a set cleaning schedule. Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and residents is essential, using appropriate channels for support, guidance, and addressing concerns promptly.
This role is a Permanent Part-Time 7-month Fixed Term Contract offering 65.50 hrs per fortnight at our Kinross Care Community – Lake House.
Week One:
Monday: 0700-1500 (Cleaning)
Tuesday: 1300-1900 (Cleaning)
Wednesday: 0700-1500 (Laundry)
Thursday: 0700-1500 (Laundry)
Friday: 0700-1500 (Laundry)
Week Two:
Monday: 0700-1500 (Cleaning)
Wednesday: 0700-1500 (Laundry)
Thursday: 0700-1500 (Laundry)
Friday: 0700-1500 (Laundry)
Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered.
Key responsibilities:
- Vacuums, sweeps, dusts and mops all designated areas
- Follows cleaning schedule
- Maintains appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisational values
- Considers resident lifestyles and personal choice
- Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilising appropriate channels for assistance guidance and concerns
- Responds to emergency cleaning requirements as directed
About you
As a Hospitality (Cleaning & Laundry) Services worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a fresh, welcoming environment. You'll take charge of cleaning and laundry routines, ensuring every space shines and every linen is crisp—bringing comfort and quality to every guest’s experience!
Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
- NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Willingness to attend a paid 1-day (Monday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
- Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.
- Experience working in hospitality service roles, preferably as a cleaner in an aged care/hospital environment
