The Role
To provide guidance, support, and advice to the business on all employee and industrial relations matters and operations involving a people element under the direction of the Head of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Provide accurate and timely advice to managers and staff on a range of human resource queries, in accordance with policy and procedure and legislative requirements.
- Manage a high volume of complex employee issues.
- Proactively support and mediate the resolution of performance management and employee relations issues to achieve positive outcomes.
Industrial Relations
- Interpret awards, industrial decisions and assist in Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
- Provide guidance and assistance on employee and industrial relations matters, such as performance management, disciplinary procedures, end to end investigations, resolution of disputes, conflicts and other situations between staff, unions, and management.
Coaching/Mentoring & Relationship Management
- Provide human centred and empathetic support and advice to employees and their managers.
- Develop strong relationships across the organisation, being viewed as a professional, credible, and trusted partner.
- Coach and mentor leaders to improve the capabilities requires to build a strong, positive, value driven culture
Training & Project Support
- Undertake human resources projects and activities that contribute to improving operations or as directed by the Head of Human Resources.
- Provide support and advice on organisational projects which impact staff.
- Provide training on identified areas of need within the scope of operations.
Compliance & Documentation Management
- Develop strategies to improve current systems, processes and policies which provide benefit to the business unit and the organisation.
- Review and develop HR policies and procedures to ensure the needs of the organisation and legislative requirements are met.
About you
- Proven experience in a HR role
- Sound Industrial Relations/Employee Relations knowledge
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Project, research, and investigation skills
- High level of communicate with a wide range of people at various levels
- Ability to lead, influence others and work as part of a team
Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in HR or related field
- Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
