The Role:

The Senior Chef is responsible for ensuring Total Catering Solutions procedures consistent, high-quality products to both internal and external customers. Strong organisation skills and a wide spread knowledge of modern production / food manufacturing techniques are key to this positions success

Roster: Monday: Friday 6am – 2.30pm 

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively supervise the TCS production team, providing training and general support to staff, including settling in of new business and new menus with existing customers
• Supporting production Manager with labour rostering and the daily supervision of the casual workforce is kept to minimum levels and fluctuates in line with the highs and lows of the business demands. 
• Liaising with representatives from Amana Living to ensure the meal quality, quantity and specific diet requirements are reached and maintained.
• Work in conjunction with the TCS Production Manager and Quality team with regards to maintaining and improving the SGS HACCP accreditation.
• Have input in improving the Cbord management software package, improving the product quality by improving the recipes.
• Working closely with the TCS Production Manager with maintaining the TCS site and equipment in line with statutory regulations.
• Ensuring that a positive safety culture is instilled in all areas of TCS, and that safe work practices are consistently used across all operational areas. 

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory/management role within the food manufacturing industry
• Recognised trade qualifications of Cookery (Chef)
• Previous experience supervising a team of 30-35 across multiple areas
• Experienced in large volume production / food manufacturing facilities
• Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Effective problem solving and analytical skills to resolve operational issues
• Proven supervisory capabilities, working with a variety of professional skilled and unskilled staff, within a team orientated culture
• Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
• Evidence of current Flu and Covid Vaccinationsx3
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Available to attend a compulsory 1-week (Monday to Friday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
