We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Care Assessor to help us achieve this mission by guiding potential clients through the assessment and admissions process with compassion and professionalism.
About the Role
As a Care Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Amana Living’s residential care facilities maintain high occupancy rates while delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll engage directly with potential residents and their families, assess their needs, and support them every step of the way—from their initial inquiry to a smooth transition into our care. This role is 46 hours per fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a compassionate and informative first point of contact for potential residents and their families.
- Conduct assessments of clinical and general needs, ensuring a thorough understanding of client requirements.
- Guide clients and families through the AN-ACC process, explaining fees and terms clearly.
- Coordinate and lead tours of our care facilities, highlighting the quality and warmth of our services.
- Maintain ongoing communication with families while they await a vacancy, fostering trust and reassurance.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including referral groups, social workers, and care providers.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a professional who combines clinical expertise with a caring, customer-focused approach. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Registered Nurse qualifications and current AHPRA registration.
- Knowledge of aged care services and the AN-ACC funding instrument.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialised software.
- A proactive, results-oriented attitude with a passion for supporting clients and achieving targets.
- Numeracy skills. Ability to understand and explain fee structures and funding packages.
Essential Requirements
- Current National Police Clearance(no older than six months) or NDIS Worker’s Screening Check
- Proof of current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations as per Amana Living policy
- Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical.
