The Role

The Claiming Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of claims under various funding programs. The role ensures compliance with funding guidelines, internal policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting efficient revenue management and service delivery outcomes.

The role works closely with operational teams, finance, and scheduling functions to ensure all services delivered are appropriately claimed, reconciled, and reported. This role is a full-time fixed term contract up until May 2027.

Please note that this role may lead to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and submit claims within required timeframes, ensuring compliance with Support at Home funding guidelines, legislative requirements, and organisational policies
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve rejected or adjusted claims, maintaining audit readiness and implementing corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Review and validate service delivery data to ensure claims are complete, accurate, and supported by appropriate documentation across all systems
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies between scheduled services, delivered services, funding, and billing records, performing regular reconciliations to maintain data integrity
  • Collaborate closely with Scheduling, Finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate service capture and provide guidance on claiming processes and requirements
  • Maintain effective cross-team relationships and contribute to reporting requirements
  • Identify and support improvements to claiming accuracy, processes, and systems, including documentation updates and audit participation
  • Provide responsive internal support by resolving claims and funding queries and contributing to a collaborative, service-focused culture

Essential criteria

  • Strong proficiency in data systems and Microsoft Office, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, guidelines, and complex data, supported by sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively while working independently and as part of a team
  • National Police Clearance Certification (no older than 6 months)
  • Proof of current influenza vaccinations as per Amana Living policies
