ABOUT THE ROLE
A permanent, full-time opportunity exists within Amana Living for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join the team at Collier Park Village (Como).
This role is Monday to Friday 0700-1506, 76hrs per fortnight. The Maintenance Officer will maintain all aspects of the facility and ensure jobs which require further work by tradespeople are completed as per standards set by Amana Living.
Key Responsibilities
- Check the property tablet each working day and attend to outstanding tasks and requests
- Check chemical room daily, restock and assist with decanting of chemicals
- Attend to facility maintenance, including but not being limited to checking lighting, equipment, furniture, hot water systems, showerheads and sinks, reticulation systems
- Maintaining animal areas, removing cobwebs, clearing drains, cleaning and checking flyscreens
- Ensure bus is clean and maintained
- Ensure carpets in centre and rooms are spot cleaned as necessary
- Liaise with contractors whilst on site to ensure they have access to necessary areas
- Complete reports as required by Service Manager and update property tablet with progress on outstanding work
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a similar maintenance role, preferably in Aged Care. You will have the ability to work independently and have strong organisational and time management skills.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in home and / or equipment maintenance
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Current C class driver's licence
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
- Successful completion of a pre-employment health form, physical assessment and reference checks
- Evidence of current Flu and Covid Vaccinations as per Amana Living Policies
