The Role
The purpose and objective of this position is to provide support to the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer/Team Lead including interacting with management, staff, residents and their families, and any other person in the work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Resident Accounts
• Admissions and discharges
• Update account when fees change
• Finalize resident accounts
• Refund overpaid fees
• Refund of Accommodation Payments, if applicable
• Billing of fees and ad hoc charges
• Raise sundry invoices, if applicable
Direct Debit
• Maintain and process direct debits
• Follow up on rejected direct debits and resubmit
Payments & Receipting
• Processing payments over the phone
• Receipting of payments if required
• Allocation of payments
Funding
• Authorise admissions and discharges, and submit online to Medicare Resident Queries
• Resolve account queries and investigate irregularities
Other
• Respond to general AR-related queries
• Provide backup for other team members as required
• Assist with debt collection
• Perform general duties including correspondence, filing, etc.
• Other duties as prescribed by the Senior Accounts Receivable Officer/Team Lead
About you
You are a detail-oriented finance professional with at least three years’ experience in accounts receivable and financial accounting, demonstrating strong technical skills and a commitment to timely, accurate reporting. With advanced computer proficiency and excellent organisational abilities, you thrive in dynamic environments and are dedicated to ongoing professional development.
Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
- Tertiary qualification in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role (Desirable)
- Western Australian C Class Driver’s License (if applicable)
