The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered nurse with a passion for aged care to join our Residential Facility at St George Care Centre in Bayswater. The role is Permanent Part-Time working 54 hours per fortnight.
Week 1 & 2
Wednesday 1500-2215
Thursday 1500-2215
Friday 1500-2215
Saturday 1500-2215
Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive reviews of residents through clinical assessments
- Safely administer medication to residents
- Falls management and prevention
- Complete documentation for residents ensuring accurate care planning and relevant supporting documents
- Supervise the delivery of care plans on a daily basis
- Providing ongoing coaching, mentoring to the care staff
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety in accordance with Aged Care Standards and Risk Management
About You
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. These skills are critical to your success in this role, and you will be passionate about the residents and supporting your team.
You are clinical leader capable of using your clinical knowledge and skills to work with the team in pursuit of excellent care outcomes. You are closely aligned to the Quality of Care Principles, and are able to support, educate and mentor your team.
Essential Criteria:
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Knowledge of the resident classification scale, accreditation and continuous improvement
- NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to attend 2 days paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
