This part-time role of approximately 50 hours per fortnight will require the successful applicant to be available Monday to Friday and visit clients in their own homes across the Perth Metropolitan area. 

We are looking for candidates who have well developed time management skills, are confident communicators and are comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Your commitment to the development of your professional skills will be evident in the sensitivity and maturity you display in the care of our clients. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Organise and deliver therapeutic interventions in the client's home under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist and/or Registered Nurse.
  • Provides effective personal care that is best practice, tailored to individual needs and optimising health and wellbeing.
  • Provides safe and effective services and supports for daily living that meets the emotional, spiritual and psychological wellbeing needs of clients.
  • Maintain records and progress notes as required by the Physiotherapist, reporting findings on responses to treatments and programs and contribute observations for assessment and care evaluations. 
  • Assists with mobilising and transferring clients – moving from place to place and position to position.
  • Assists with clients personal care needs to the extent necessary to ensure client safety, comfort and satisfactory completion of planned programs.
  • Attends regular meetings with the Physiotherapist to review client outcomes and treatment programs.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular compulsory training, competency sessions and regular staff meetings.


  • Completion of an Accredited Physiotherapy Assistants Course - essential
  • Completion of a Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care) - desirable
  • Experience working with clients with dementia in an aged care or community-based setting
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Valid Police Clearance less than 6 months old (or provide a receipt at interview stage)
  • Successful completion of a physical assessment and reference checks
  • Evidence of current flu vaccine and Covid19 vaccinations
