This position is key to shaping a vibrant health and safety culture and driving outstanding results within a specific portfolio. As a Safety Health and Wellness Business Partner (SHAWBP), you will collaborate with passionate business partners across all People and Culture functions, delivering impactful, timely, and precise advice to managers and employees, all while working under the mentorship of the SHAW Manager.
With a wealth of experience in Work Health and Safety, including expertise in injury management and Worker’s Compensation.
Your exceptional communication skills empower you to coach and inspire others effectively. You possess the ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and regulations, analyze data for informed decision-making, and tackle challenges with creative solutions—all within the framework of organizational guidelines.

Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a work Health and Safety professional role, preferably in healthcare sector is desired, supported by relevant qualifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, coach and influence to achieve outcomes.
- Minimum Cert IV in Work Health and Safety
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
Key responsibilities:
- Providing WHS, injury management and wellness advice
- Conducting safety audits, promoting and supporting the Health and Safety Representatives
- Monitoring incidents and hazards
- Conducting risk assessments
- Providing support to managers and staff on injury management and workers compensation
- Work in strong collaboration with the other discipline business partners assigned to the same portfolio, so that operational areas are supported to manage and lead their people business by a dedicated synergistic team of people and culture business partners.
